Unlike string inverter systems where there are high DC voltages in the solar array, modules are connected in parallel in microinverter systems and each only carries a voltage of 40 V, significantly reducing hazards. As a result, the microinverter system naturally meets rapid shutdown requirements, and Hoymiles' microinverters are compliant with such requirements as specified in UL 1741 and NEC 2017/2020 690.12.
